DREAM ORGANS
JULIAN RHODES' IMAGINARY ORGANS

ALFRISTON PARISH CHURCH, SUSSEX

Known as 'The Cathedral of the Downs', this spacious church has never contained an adequate organ. The current instrument (anon. 19th-century, rebuilt 1975) has 8 stops on 2 manuals.

Here is a very English scheme for this building. Great, Swell and Pedal would be situated at the west-end; Choir would occupy the same chancel position as the current instrument.
