DREAM ORGANS
JULIAN RHODES' IMAGINARY ORGANS

ENGLISH GOTHIC ORGAN
c.1830

English Gothic Cathedral c.1830

The following design takes late-18th and early-19th century models as the departure point for a flight of whimsy into a surreal, rather gothic realm.

The Great Gothic Diapason and Serpent, and the Swell French Horn, may be at either 16' or 8' pitch: the former assumes a modern CC compass, the latter a 'long octave' to GGG.
