DREAM ORGANS
JULIAN RHODES' IMAGINARY ORGANS

AFTER 'NUENEN CHAPEL'
BY VAN GOGH

Neunen Chapel

Van Gogh's painting shows an oval-plan chapel in a forest clearing. Like its surroundings it is ochre coloured, and has tall, bright windows. Its modest floor-area is offset by its great height, and it is capped with a graceful central spire.

It suggested a sylvan, woody by not inelegant organ stoplist.
