The Bevington organ was rebuilt by Hill in 1869 and 1912, and by Hill, Norman & Beard in about 1929, by which time it had 42 stops. The Rutt rebuild increased this number to 90, and included liberal extension and duplexing. The main body of the organ remained on the west gallery, and the new Altar division was in a chamber on the north side of the chancel. The new console was at the east end of the north gallery; it was equipped with Rutt's own type of stop-keys which contained a small light to indicate the 'on' position of the stop.In the following stoplist, HW indicates heavy wind.
